When the Night Falls

Made for Barbiedoll's "Spirit of the Night"-contest.

To me, the night/evening is a time for just me. A time when I can think, imagine, dream...A time in which I can let my fantasy wander, my mind drift...It's a time in which I create a new world for me to live in, a place where I can go to think. I find it hard to explain, but I do hope the deviation brings a bit of my feelings forwards *unsure*

Now, before you go critisising about the faults in the dev, please read this first.
In reality the girl on the bed is actually in her bedroom. She's sitting on her bed lit by lamplight and with a book next to her. But in her mind she is somewhere else. She is on that beach, in that magical bed with it's curtains rusteling in the wind. On that beach she is not lit by her lamp, but by a cresent moon while she looks at a new world in the sky...
Hmm, I hope you understand. That's why I didn't make her hair move in the wind...Sort of my way of making clear that she isn't really there...

I put a lot of time in this piece and a lot of blood, sweat and tears were spilled. The end result is by no means perfect (can you feel the insecurity?), but I am happy with it. I hope some of you will enjoy it...
